BASIC COURSES


Designed for those new to photography or wanting to reinforce their foundation knowledge. These courses are made up of four weekly sessions that emphasise practical and theoretical learning combined with home study.

Introduction to photography
This course is for those with little or no experience of photography. Over the four weeks students will have the underlying principles of photography explained to them and reinforced with hands on practical examples and self study

Introduction to Digital editing
This course introduces students to the concept and application of digital editing. While this course uses the Adobe Creative Suit much of the information is universal to other digital editing packages.

ADVANCED COURSES


Aimed at the more experienced amateur, enthusiast or professional photographer; these courses offer tuition in specialist areas. Advanced courses are intensive single sessions designed for individuals and small groups.

Basics of Studio Photography
An introduction for those with limited or no experience of studio photography. Taking place in an working studio this hands on course will teach students how to use studio lighting and light shaping tools.

Studio Portraiture
The studio offers a large variety of interesting options for portraiture: by controlling the light you can achieve fascinating shots that are too difficult to do in natural light, as well as a number of special effects that can only be created in a studio.

Natural Light Portraiture
Portraiture is the most popular use for studio photography and this course will let students experience and learn first hand by practicing techniques on an experienced model as they learn them.

One to One Tutorials
Sometimes people don’t want the hassle of a long course and prefer a tutorial tailored to their specific needs. To this end we offer one to one tutorials on all subjects from beginner to advanced

These specialised courses offer participants the chance to learn a large amount in a short space of time. While much more intensive than other courses these are well suited to those who are short on time but keen to learn

Complete Introduction: shooting & editing
A distillation of the introduction to photography and introduction to digital editing courses, this complete intro guides the beginner through everything they need to shoot, sort and edit their pictures.

Panoramic Photography
This course will introduce the photographer to panoramic photography, especially the technique of composite or stitched photos. The ultimate aim will be to produce a spherical or 360 degree panorama.

Complete StudioAvailable as two classes or a single half day.  This class covers all aspects of studio portraiture: starting from the technicalities of using and controlling studio lighting.  The second half of the course details the intricacies of working with a subject, in posing and lighting.  A model is provided for this course
